We pride ourselves in supporting local breweries and we are pleased to serve you the very best of what the Maine beer scene has to offer. We prepare all of our food in-house from scratch, using fresh ingredients.

Our lobster is locally sourced from lobster boats along the coast of Maine where it is then steamed and hand-picked in house.

All food waste and organic materials at Butcher Burger are composted and donated locally.

After a day in the sun, at a local swimming hole, we were craving burgers, found this place, and was so happy we did! The service was great - our waitress was super sweet and attentive (our teenagers sat at another table and she wasn't bothered at all!) The drinks were yummy and the food was even better!!! We got the house burger, Baja fish burger, chicken n waffles, chicken tenders, and the big bird (plus fries) - soooo delicious! We'll definitely come back next time we are in the area.

Last minute decision to stop at the Butcher Burger - very Happy that we did.The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich was great with the coleslaw and perfect amount of heat to make the burn linger just a bit.The Waffle Chicken sandwich was exceptional! The waffle had a sugary sweetness like fried dough at the fair - paired with a nice piece of chicken and maple syrup it’s next level 👍🏼Other members of the group had the cheeseburger and the Big Bird - everyone said it was very good.The only comment on the burger was that it was a bit pricey when you can get a 5-Guys burger for less.Kids meals come with CapriSun.No draft beer when we were here.Service was good.Would like to return if ever back up north.

Wow, that was a good burger, 2 days in a row!Visited our friend Cathy at the Bethel Chamber from Oklahoma.My husband has celiac disease, so we needed safe gluten-free options. So off we all went to Butcher Burger. The meat is fresh ground with bacon added to the mix for a unique, moist, delicious burger.My husband's burger on a GF bun was toasted perfectly. Our server was great and told us exactly what he could safely have, and he was a happy camper!The fries are gluten-free as well and not your average fries at all. As good as the Butcher Burger was, the fries were just as good, so don't miss them!Our food and service were so good that we ventured back the following night before heading to Bar Harbor.If you want a great burger, this will be in your top all-time best burgers. If you need gluten-free or have celiac disease, this is a must stop. Everyone will love their food.Thanks for great service and great food!

I can’t speak for the atmosphere or service because I got take out. My husband took me to Bethel for an anniversary get away, and this place had the best burgers I’ve ever had. I got the house burger with jalapeños and my husband got the Hawaiian, both without bacon. The burgers were juicy, but not undercooked. They were also huge!! In Massachusetts we’re used to half the size of these. Great communication over the phone, again just surprised to have the best burger I’ve ever had out in the middle of nowhere, I’ve been so many places.
